Hi.

I’m Tara and I’ve been writing about entertainment news and pop culture for over a decade. I started my career working as an intern for the iconic Perth street press X-Press Magazine, where I remained as a freelancer. I continued writing about music for The Music and RTRFM. For seven years I also wrote for my personal fashion and lifestyle blog Gin in a Teacup, which gave me the opportunity to work with local events such as the Perth Fashion Festival and the ReStyle campaign.

After moving to France, I began working with the team from the dating app Vyve as an editor for their blog, creating an editorial calendar and publishing articles about the trials and trepidations of online dating. I also started exploring the travel writing niche, writing for The Culture Trip, TravelMag and the Paris Pass site.

I continued my work in entertainment news, covering breaking stories for Inquisitr and The Blast. I have also worked with art website Singulart, writing feature articles on classic artworks for their blog and artist biographies for the commerce section of the site.

I also publish deep dives on my favourite facets of pop culture on Medium and you can find me tweeting my opinions on various reality shows on Twitter. When I’m not writing, I’m watching horror movies or UK panel shows, eating my way through a variety of French cheese and/or pastries, or trying to keep my antisocial cat from destroying my furniture.
